Atardi in de Diaspora

Atardi in de Diaspora is an impressive musical storytelling performance in Dutch and Papiamentu that explores life between Curaçao and the Netherlands. Through a blend of personal narrative and live music, Milouska Meulens shares her bicultural journey, together with the internationally acclaimed ensemble Calefax and singer Juliana Martina.

The performance merges Caribbean and European musical traditions in new and classical interpretations of Atardi, featuring works by Mozart, Gershwin, Beethoven, and Curaçaoan composers such as Wim Statius Muller and Rudy Plaate. The result is a layered and emotional concert experience that connects identity, culture, and music across worlds.
