The second edition of the Krioyo Film Festival will take place from October 27 to November 2, 2025 at Caribbean Cinemas Curaçao – Sambil, Willemstad. Featuring 14 curated film blocks, new 2025 productions, and a special Nostalgia section, the festival celebrates stories in Papiamentu and from across the ABC Islands. It offers a vibrant platform for local filmmakers to showcase their creativity and for audiences to experience authentic Caribbean storytelling.

At its heart, the Krioyo Film Festival is a celebration of Curaçao’s language, culture, and history “a manifestation of who we are: our culture, our life, and our heritage.” This year’s edition also highlights regional participation from Aruba and Bonaire and may include the Kadushi di Oro 2025 Award recognizing outstanding local film achievements.
